Arizona Educational Research Organization (AERO) Call for Papers

Education’s New 3-R's:  Reforming, Reimagining, Reinventing
Evaluating teachers and principals based on student growth. Retaining students who are not reading at the end of third grade. Creating a P-20 data system for researchers, teachers and consumers. Implementing new standards and assessments shared with 48 other states. These are just a few of the changes coming to Arizona’s education system.

In keeping with this zeitgeist, the theme of the 2010 Arizona Educational Research Organization is, “Education’s new 3 R’s: Reforming, Reimagining, Reinventing.”

The Arizona Educational Research Organization (AERO), an affiliate of the American Educational Research Association, will hold its 23rd annual conference on November 5th in Phoenix, Arizona.

Conference participants will engage in investigations in both research and application, entailing advances and reform within educational approaches, settings and theories.  AERO 2010 will take stock of progress, look to the future and celebrate the broad scope of research and applied work in Arizona’s educational venues.

In addition to papers related to the conference theme, submissions are welcome on a wide range of educational topics, including but not limited to:

  • Measuring success in schools
  • Educational technology and its application to learning environments
  • The changing nature of education in the 21st century
  • Distance and online learning
  • Education in nontraditional environments (business, health care, etc.)
  • Action research by teachers
