Impacting Teaching and Learning”
We are looking forward to a great conference with a diverse set of papers, symposia and professional development workshops. Some highlights of this year's conference:
A panel of experts will discuss the future of AIMS testing and P-20 education in Arizona. Panel members will include Tom Horne, Superintendent of Public Instruction; Representative Rich Crandall, Mesa; Alex Duran, Sunnyside Unified School District and a member of the P-20 Council;
From the Proficiency Illusion to the Accountability Delusion presented by John Cronin;
Multilevel Modeling: An Introduction & Some Applications This course begins with a concise review of the general linear model, eg., linear regression, the analysis of variance (ANOVA), and the analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). By the end of the workshop, attendees will have examined topics such as the use of a simple two-level model for program evaluation and multilevel growth models in accountability. This session will be presented by Yeow Meng Thum of the Northwest Evaluation Association.
